EU – Ecolabel

The specific aims of the project are to develop and disseminate a web-based environmental training programme for energy managers of the hospitality sector.

The modules can be summarised under the following headings:
1 Introduction to the European Ecolabel for tourist accommodation services
2 Energy
3 Waste
4 Water
5 Chemical substances
6 Other services
7 Management (EMAS, ISO 14001)

The “application approach” follows the criteria as laid down in the EU directive. The user focuses on the criteria necessary to achieve the EU Ecolabel. It is also possible to choose the modules to eliminate knowledge gaps.
